Business Analyst

Location: Operations - Batavia, IL


Eagle Flexible Packaging is seeking a Business Analyst who will optimize business operations through data-driven insights and process enhancement initiatives.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Partner with key departments throughout the organization (e.g., Operations, Sales, Finance/Accounting, Purchasing, etc.) to analyze business processes, identify inefficiencies, and recommend process improvements.
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret operational data to provide insights that support decision-making. Create and interpret regular and ad-hoc reports on key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Work with business stakeholders to ensure that technical capabilities meet business goals. As needed, identify solutions to enhance technical capabilities.
  • Assist with maintaining and improving the Eagle’s ERP system (Radius). Support end-users by troubleshooting issues and ensuring the system is effectively meeting business needs.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and document requirements for new features and process changes in the ERP system.
  • Work closely with business stakeholders to ensure that system upgrades or changes are aligned with business objectives and run smoothly.
  • Assist in creating user manuals and standard operating procedures (SOPs) related to ERP system functionalities. Provide training and support to ensure that end-users can effectively navigate system functions and any changes.
  • Support and, as needed, initiate and lead ERP-related projects, including testing, system configuration, and user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure successful deployment.
  • Address ERP system and process issues by identifying root causes and working with business partners to implement solutions.
  • Ensure that all company food safety and quality assurance procedures are followed at all times. Escalate any issues/concerns to management.
  • Other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • Minimum two years’ experience in a related business analyst role.
  • Strong analytical skills with proven ability to analyze data, identify trends, and generate actionable insights.
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy when documenting processes, systems, and requirements. Sense of accountability for the accuracy of the information maintained and shared with others.
  • Intermediate PC skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and enterprise resource planning (ERP) with proven ability to learn complex new software programs.
  • Personable with ability to build good working relationships with diverse individuals in varied roles.
  • Adaptable with ability to maintain a sense of flexibility in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities and evolving business needs.
  • Effective time management and organizational skills with ability to work independently and maximize productivity.
  • Professional proficiency in verbal and written English. Ability to effectively and professionally communicate with diverse internal and external customers, including ability to translate complex concepts into terms that can be understood by non-technical stakeholders.
  • Excellent work ethic and willingness to learn.
  • Must be able to sit for prolonged periods of time.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, or related field.
  • Experience in the manufacturing industry, ideally printing and/or flexible packaging.
  • Experience with Radius.
  • Basic programming skills (e.g., SQL, Python, and/or Excel Macros) and familiarity with database querying.

Additional Information: This position will require occasional travel, primarily to Eagle Flexible Packaging production facilities.

Pay: $50,000 – $75,000 per year

  • Vision Insurance – On the first of month following 60 days of employment, employees this voluntary benefit through Mutual of Omaha.
  • 401K Plan – Plan entry date is the first of the month following 6 months of service. Eagle provides its employees with a 100% match up to 1% and 50% match up to 6%.
  • Company Paid Short Term Disability – The Short Term Disability premium is 100% paid by Eagle.
  • Company Paid Long Term Disability – The Long Term Disability premium is 100% paid by Eagle.
  • Life Insurance – The Basic Life premium is 100% paid by Eagle and is a flat $20,000 benefit for all FT, benefit eligible employees. Employees have the option to purchase additional voluntary life insurance for self, spouse, and dependent children.
  • Vacation/PTO: The amount of vacation/paid time off (PTO) employees receive each year starts at 80 hours (2 weeks) each year, which accrues at a rate of 1.538 hours per week, and increases with the length of employment.
  • 6 Company Paid Holidays – Eligible after 60 days of employment.
  • Sick Leave – Eligible for paid sick days at the rate of 3 days (24 hours) per year after 6 months of service (prorated for per the calendar year).
