Eagle Flexible Packaging is excited to have joined the Waupun community! We are looking for great talent to help us grow the team in our third facility and advance their careers while producing flexible packaging for the essential food and medical industries!

Eagle Flexible Packaging is seeking a Press Helper (Printing Press Operator B) to support Press Operators in the production of high-quality printed materials on our new W&H 10-color central impression wide web flexographic printing press.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Make sure there is enough raw material for the job prior to beginning the project.
  • Check all master rolls for damage or crushed cores.
  • Assure understanding of the correct side of material that will be printed or laminated.
  • Set up the E&L Vision System.
  • Select Anilox and color sequence, raw base material, and laminations.
  • Place raw material rolls on the press.
  • In charge of set-up for ink pans and pumps.
  • Check viscosity and pH.
  • While running a job, the B Pressman will, at times, check and initial samples, monitor and document ink issues and viscosity.
  • Remove and wash plates, rollers, and ink pans.
  • Remove cylinders, remove unused material from unwind and return to inventory.
  • Prepare for next job.
  • Ensure that all company food safety and quality assurance procedures are followed at all times. Escalate any issues/concerns to management.
  • Other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Detail oriented and committed.
  • Excellent work ethic and willingness to learn.
  • Must be able to stand for all day and lift 75 pounds or more.
  • Must be able to sit and stand for prolonged periods of time.
  • Must be able to stoop, kneel, and climb a ladder and stairs.
  • Must have excellent color perception and be able see with or without corrective lenses.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Flexible packaging printing experience desired.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.

  • 401K Plan – Plan entry date is the first of the month following 6 months of service. Eagle provides its employees with a 100% match up to 1% and 50% match up to 6%.
  • Company Paid Short Term Disability – The Short Term Disability premium is 100% paid by Eagle.
  • Company Paid Long Term Disability – The Long Term Disability premium is 100% paid by Eagle.
  • Life Insurance – The Basic Life premium is 100% paid by Eagle and is a flat $20,000 benefit for all FT, benefit eligible employees. Employees have the option to purchase additional voluntary life insurance for self, spouse, and dependent children.
  • Vacation/PTO: The amount of vacation/paid time off (PTO) employees receive each year starts at 80 hours (2 weeks) each year, which accrues at a rate of 1.538 hours per week, and increases with the length of employment.
  • 6 Company Paid Holidays – Eligible after 60 days of employment.
  • Sick Leave – Eligible for paid sick days at the rate of 3 days (24 hours) per year after 6 months of service (prorated for per the calendar year).
