Talent Acquisition and Retention Partner

Location: Operations - Batavia, IL


Eagle Flexible Packaging is seeking a Talent Acquisition and Retention Partner who will contribute to the success of Eagle Flexible Packaging (“Eagle”) by leading recruitment efforts to attract top talent as well as efforts to ensure that employees are personally and professionally supported and engaged throughout their tenure. 

 Primary Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Ensuring a positive candidate experience for all, conduct full cycle recruitment for varied positions at all levels of the organization including but not limited to: 
  • Source passive talent via job boards, social media, and professional networking. 
  • Post job openings on job boards, ensuring that posts are accurate, engaging, and reaching a diverse audience. 
  • Partner with hiring managers on talent acquisition processes and strategies, including identification of current and future hiring needs. 
  • Develop and maintain talent acquisition partnerships with job developers at varied organizations, including school and workforce development agencies. 
  • Represent company at job fairs and other recruitment events. 
  • Develop recruitment related social media marketing. 
  • Work with third party vendor to conduct background checks and drug tests, providing candidates with feedback regarding results and, when necessary, following through with adverse action procedures. 
  • Schedule phone screens and interviews. 
  • Conduct phone screens, providing feedback to hiring managers. 
  • Educate candidates on company culture, benefits, and career growth opportunities. 
  • Gather, analyze, share, and use recruitment metrics to make informed decisions. 
  • Champion the employee referral program. 
  • Support the configuration and launch of the ADP Workforce Now applicant tracking system (ATS). 
  • Support new hire orientation and onboarding sessions. 
  • Employee engagement efforts with duties including but not limited to: 
  • Partner with Manager and team members to plan employee engagement events and activities (e.g., employee meals, celebrations, awards and recognition, purchase of company branded apparel, etc.). 
  • Assist in the development and execution of Eagle Cares community support activities. 
  • Assist in the development and execution of recognition programming. 
  • Conduct exit interviews with separating employees, compiling feedback for future action. 
  • Partner with Manager to support individual employees in the achievement of their personal and professional goals. 
  • Develop and execute new ideas to creatively enhance employee engagement. 
  • Ensure that all company food safety and quality assurance procedures are followed at all times. Escalate any issues/concerns to management. 
  • Other related duties as assigned. 

 Requirements: 

  • High school degree or equivalent (GED). 
  • Minimum five years’ relevant talent acquisition experience, including demonstrated experience successfully recruiting varied roles from entry through senior level. 
  • Experience with applicant tracking system (ATS) software. 
  • Basic PC skills, including proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet, and email software with proven ability to learn new software programs. 
  • Understanding of human resources policies and procedures as well as applicable laws and regulations. 
  • Strong sense of personal integrity with ability to maintain the confidentiality of privileged information. 
  • Sense of urgency to complete responsibilities with thoroughness, responsiveness, professionalism, and whenever possible, proactively. 
  • Effective time management skills with ability to work independently and maximize productivity. 
  • Professional proficiency in verbal and written English, including ability to effectively and professionally communicate with a diverse group of internal and external customers. 
  • Excellent decision-making and problem-solving skills. 
  • Strong attention to detail, critical thinking, and organizational skills. 
  • Excellent work ethic and willingness to learn. 

 Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Communications, Psychology, Anthropology, or related field. 
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish strongly preferred. 
  • Experience recruiting in the manufacturing industry strongly preferred. 
  • Experience with human resources information system (HRIS) software. 
  • Experience developing and executing talent retention strategies. 

Pay: $60,000.00 – $95,000.00 per year

The annual amount provided to each participant is based on one’s enrollment tier per the following schedule: $1,500.00 for Employee Only coverage, $3,000.00 for Employee + Spouse or Employee + Child(ren), and $4,500.00 for Family coverage.
  • Dental Insurance – On the first of month following 60 days of employment, employees can enroll in dental insurance provided by Mutual of Omaha.
  • Vision Insurance – On the first of month following 60 days of employment, employees this voluntary benefit through Mutual of Omaha.
  • 401K Plan – Plan entry date is the first of the month following 6 months of service. Eagle provides its employees with a 100% match up to 1% and 50% match up to 6%.
  • Company Paid Short Term Disability – The Short Term Disability premium is 100% paid by Eagle.
  • Company Paid Long Term Disability – The Long Term Disability premium is 100% paid by Eagle.
  • Life Insurance – The Basic Life premium is 100% paid by Eagle and is a flat $20,000 benefit for all FT, benefit eligible employees. Employees have the option to purchase additional voluntary life insurance for self, spouse, and dependent children.
  • Vacation/PTO: The amount of vacation/paid time off (PTO) employees receive each year starts at 80 hours (2 weeks) each year, which accrues at a rate of 1.538 hours per week, and increases with the length of employment.
  • 6 Company Paid Holidays – Eligible after 60 days of employment.
  • Sick Leave – Eligible for paid sick days at the rate of 3 days (24 hours) per year after 6 months of service (prorated for per the calendar year).
